The Beverly Hills Hotel, a Dorchester Collection property, seeks a Supper Club Sommelier to lead the wine program for its new Supper Club and elevate guest experiences.

You will craft an exclusive wine list, guide guests with confident pairings, and collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure a flawless dining journey.

As a Supper Club Sommelier at The Beverly Hills Hotel, your compensation will range between $73,000-$75,000 annually plus commission.

What you’ll do

A day in the life of a Supper Club Sommelier demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all the tasks that our Sommeliers accomplish would be lengthy, but the list below is essential to know.

• Our Sommeliers will be responsible for building and managing The Supper Club's wine program from the ground up, crafting a thoughtfully composed list that reflects the exclusivity and caliber of the dining experience we are creating.


• Sommeliers will guide guests through the wine list with confidence, expertise and genuine passion, offering pairings and recommendations that elevate the dining experience and feel personal rather than prescriptive.


• Our guests at The Supper Club will be discerning and knowledgeable. Our Sommeliers will meet them at that level, handling special requests, rare selections and bespoke pairing experiences with discretion and mastery.


• Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Sommeliers will be relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct.


• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Sommeliers will work closely with outlet management, the culinary team and the service staff to ensure the wine program is seamlessly aligned with the overall dining experience from day one.


• Our Sommeliers are genuinely passionate about what they do. They represent The Beverly Hills Hotel with pride, always upholding the principles, goals and policies of The Beverly Hills Hotel Pledge.

The items shared are essential. However, to ensure consistency, The Supper Club Sommeliers are provided with specifics on how we care for their department and our hotel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stand for up to 8 hours. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, use hand, finger and wrist dexterity. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
