Job summary

Blueshift is seeking an Operator to join our Operations team in Spencer, MA. This full-time, non-exempt role supports manufacturing processes, operates the solvent recovery system, and collaborates with colleagues to keep production running safely and efficiently.

You will follow SOPs, maintain logs, participate in safety trainings, and contribute to continuous improvement. A high school diploma and 3 years in manufacturing are required; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience with complex systems.
• Experience with hazardous chemicals and safe handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong teamwork and communication in fast-paced environments.
• Commitment to safety and quality and adherence to procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and quick learning of new systems.
• Familiarity with QMS and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the solvent recovery system to maintain performance.
• Assist in production line setup, calibration, and settings verification.
• Participate in post-run cleanup and sanitation.
• Engage in risk assessments and safety training.
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Maintain production metrics and equipment logs.
• Prepare and record quality control tests per SOPs.
• Adhere to QMS and regulatory protocols.
• Collaborate with team and share best practices.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
