An established industry player is seeking a Technology Specialist to drive digital transformation and growth within their Software and Platform Engineering practice. Cognizant's Software Platform & Engineering service line provides transformative modern engineering services at scale for our clients. Comprised of four practices - Digital Experience (DX), Digital Engineering, Application Development & Management, and Quality Engineering & Assurance - we deliver end-to-end value to organizations seeking to modernize technical architecture and culture, escape legacy constraints, and develop new products and services.
The Technology Specialist will offer deep expertise in one or more areas of the Software and Platform Engineering Practice, supporting Cognizant's client account teams across vertical markets. This role involves engaging in existing markets and potentially exploring new markets, acting as a 'trusted advisor' to both clients and Cognizant's client partners, blending strategic and tactical sales experience.

Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth by leading digital engagements for a $50M+ business unit, acting as the chief growth officer for the portfolio.
- Collaborate with practices and delivery teams to define and execute transformation strategies and service offerings across Software & Platform Engineering.
- Map client organizations, build relationships with new business units, and develop strategies to grow new business opportunities.
- Engage with VP/CXO decision-makers in Financial Services, Fintech, and Insurance domains through consultative and transformative conversations.
- Lead digital transformation projects to improve business processes and customer experiences.
- Oversee digital strategies to foster business growth and innovation.
- Provide technical expertise in Azure and AWS Cloud to ensure scalable solutions.
- Envision and develop new opportunities within existing and new business areas.
- Support account and delivery leadership by identifying risks and issues, and leading client discussions on mitigation.
- Develop and implement account growth strategies and business plans for Software & Platform Engineering services.
- Manage growth, business development, customer relationships, and talent needs.
- Operate within a matrix organization to support prospecting and sales goals.
- Maintain process and system hygiene to support KPIs and measurements.
- Lead end-to-end lead generation, sales, and RFI/RFP processes.
- Achieve revenue and booking targets.
- Lead negotiations on contracts and outsourcing discussions.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 14+ years of experience in consulting, practice management, or delivery transformation, with hands-on skills in at least two core areas such as Digital Engineering, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Product Engineering, Legacy Modernization, SRE, or Application Management Services.
- Strong understanding and practical experience in leading and designing solutions.
- At least 5+ years of experience in Banking & Financial Services, Fintech, or Insurance domains.
- At least 2+ years of experience in business development, presales, or practice growth.
- Good experience with Cloud technologies for scalable solution design.
- Proven track record of developing and executing digital growth strategies.
- Experience in Digital Engineering, application development, and quality engineering practices.
- Ability to lead sales cycles from opportunity identification to negotiation, ranging from $250K to $10M.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in creating and editing presentations and proposals.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and ownership-driven.
- Logical, structured thinker with influence skills at CXO levels.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leading large structured deals in Banking & Financial services.
- Knowledge of agentic frameworks is a plus.
- Cloud certifications or expertise in Generative AI.
