The Technology Specialist will possess deep expertise in one or more areas of the Software and Platform Engineering Practice. They will support Cognizant's client account teams across vertical markets and assist in expanding into new markets and business areas. SLSs are typically assigned to existing markets, with some engaging in new logo markets. The Technology Specialist acts as a trusted advisor to both clients and Cognizant's Client Partners, blending strategic, tactical, and sales experience.

Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth by prioritizing, structuring, and leading digital engagements for a business unit exceeding $50M, acting as the chief growth officer for that portfolio.
- Partner with practices and delivery teams to define and implement transformation strategies and service offerings across Software & Platform Engineering, including digital engineering, application development, maintenance, and quality engineering.
- Map client organizations, build relationships with new business units, and develop strategies for new business opportunities within Software & Platform Engineering.
- Establish relationships through consultative and industry-leading transformative conversations with VP/CXO decision-makers across IT and business units in Financial Services, Fintech, and Insurance domains.
- Lead the design and execution of digital transformation projects to improve business processes and customer experiences.
- Oversee digital strategies to foster business growth and innovation.
- Provide technical expertise in Azure and AWS Cloud to ensure solutions are robust and scalable.
- Identify and develop new opportunities within existing and new business areas.
- Support account leadership by highlighting risks and issues, assisting in mitigation, and leading client discussions as needed.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies and business plans for Software & Platform Engineering services.
- Manage growth, business development, customer relationships, and support talent needs and delivery transformation.
- Operate within a matrix organization to enable prospecting and sales management goals.
- Maintain operational excellence, process, and system hygiene to support KPIs and measurement.
- Lead or support lead generation, sales, business development, and RFI/RFP processes.
- Drive growth and meet revenue and booking targets.
- Lead or support negotiations on financial and contractual terms, including outsourcing discussions.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 14+ years of experience in consulting, practice management, or delivery transformation, with hands-on skills in at least two of the following: Digital engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, product engineering, legacy modernization, SRE, or application management services.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in leading, designing, or managing Gen AI-based projects.
- At least 5+ years of experience in Banking & Financial Services, Fintech, and Insurance domains.
- At least 2+ years of experience in business development, presales, sales, or practice growth and management.
- Good experience with cloud technologies for designing scalable solutions.
- Proven ability to develop and execute digital strategies that drive business growth.
- Experience in digital engineering, application development, and quality engineering practices.
- Proven success in technology consulting, digital engineering, and managing sales cycles from opportunity to contract, especially in deals ranging from $250K to over $10M.
- Ability to work with clients in a consultative manner to specify solutions.
- Strong communication skills, including presentation and proposal development.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and ownership-driven.
- Structured approach to presenting opinions and analyzing information.
- Ability to influence CXO-level decision-makers and develop followership among colleagues.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leading large structured deals in Banking & Financial sectors.
- Knowledge of agentic frameworks is a plus.
- Cloud certifications and Gen AI expertise.
