Job summary

Qdrant is seeking a Solutions Engineer to own day-one technical guidance for clients, translating requirements into solid, value-driven solutions. You’ll combine software engineering know-how with a sales mindset to help customers understand costs, architecture, and deployment options.

This remote-first role requires 2–4 years in customer-facing roles, experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms, and strong communication skills to bridge engineers and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of technical, customer-facing experience in sales engineering or related roles.
• Background in data science, computer engineering, or DevOps.
• Scripting in Python or Bash to validate business value.
• Ability to estimate total cost of ownership and hardware needs for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate architectural requirements into pricing models and contract terms.
• Coordinate with Support, Product, and Engineering to unblock proofs of concept (POCs).
• Spot deployment risks like latency bottlenecks and resource contention.
• Support architectural reviews and migration from Elastic, Solr, OpenSearch.
• Help design high-availability clusters meeting SLAs and throughput needs.
• Be a technical point of contact during evaluation and proof processes.
