Job summary

StreetLight Data is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support our Sales team in helping clients understand how to use Big Data powered mobility analytics. You will work across the US and Canada to translate customer needs into technical solutions using StreetLight InSight and deliver compelling demos.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical or sales engineering roles with enterprise software or transportation analytics.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Urban Planning or similar technical field.
• Strong data analysis and ability to visualize data creatively.
• Excellent written, visual and verbal communication.
• Problem-solving and cross-team coordination to meet sales goals.
• Geo-spatial analysis with ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Comfortable presenting to senior executives.
• Travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Sales team to introduce StreetLight Data’s technology to prospective customers.
• Support sales opportunities across the US and Canada.
• Define and implement technical solutions using StreetLight InSight to meet customer needs.
• Develop and deliver presentations and software demonstrations tailored to engage audiences.
• Cultivate relationships with technical staff at end-user agencies and engineering firms.
• Work with Product and Engineering to inform the product roadmap based on customer interactions.
• Collaborate with Marketing to guide development of sales materials, lead webinars, and prepare presentations for conferences.
• Build an internal knowledge base of technical insights and market intelligence via presentations/training.
• Interface with other teams to achieve assigned quotas and provide status updates.
