Job summary

Segra is seeking a Sales Engineer in Knoxville, TN to support pre-sales activities, solution design, and post-sale technical assistance. The role focuses on understanding customer network requirements and delivering tailored, fiber-enabled solutions.

The candidate will present and demo Segra products (SD-WAN, Firewall, Cloud) and collaborate with Sales and Engineering to ensure successful deployments and ongoing customer success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Strong presentation, communication, and listening skills.
• Solid understanding of network transport delivery and design.
• Experience with WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Cloud Services, Firewall, UCaaS, SIP Trunking, PRI, and Wi-Fi.
• Industry certifications in Route/Switch, Cybersecurity, or Data Center/Cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Engage with prospects to assess network needs and design tailored solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demos (e.g., SD-WAN, Firewall, Hosted Voice, Cloud).
• Collaborate with Sales to develop strategies leveraging Segra's fiber infrastructure.
• Ensure proposed solutions align with Segra's network capabilities and implementation standards.
• Train and educate the sales team on Segra's products, services, and industry trends.
• Gather technical documentation and collaborate with customer and internal teams post-sale.
• Act as a liaison between Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to share field insights.
• Create network diagrams and detailed scopes of work for customer and internal use.
• Provide ongoing technical consultation to foster long-term customer relationships.
