Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Sales Applications Engineer to support customers with force measurement, load cell, and industrial weighing applications. This role blends technical sales, applications engineering, customer support, and occasional travel to customer sites.

You will consult with customers to identify requirements, recommend solutions, prepare quotations, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Shipping to ensure seamless implementations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical sales, applications engineering, instrumentation, manufacturing, or industrial experience (10+ years preferred)
• 3+ years of experience with load cells, force measurement, industrial weighing systems, or related technologies
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical customers
• Knowledge of electronics used in weighing applications

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to identify weighing and force measurement requirements. Recommend load cells, electronics, calibration services, and installation components. Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support. Work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Shipping teams.
• Build long-term customer relationships through exceptional service and technical expertise.
