Job summary

Connect-Force seeks an Applications Engineer for its Michigan operation. You will work with customers, engineering, sales, manufacturing, and project teams to understand technical requirements and develop equipment and process solutions.

Responsibilities include reviewing RFQs, drawings, and specifications; developing technical concepts; preparing proposals and cost estimates; coordinating with internal teams; and supporting customers throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience as Applications Engineer, Proposal Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Project Engineer, Estimating Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience in industrial machinery, machine tools, automation, and engineered-to-order equipment is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and RFQs.
• Experience developing technical proposals, quotations, estimates, or project scopes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, technical specifications, drawings, and manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate customer applications and determine equipment, processes, and technical solutions.
• Develop technical concepts and preliminary equipment/process solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotations, cost estimates, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, manufacturing, and project teams as proposals move toward execution.
• Provide technical support throughout the sales and project-development process.
