Job summary

Frontline Wildfire Defense in Southern California is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support Sales, Installation Operations, and Design. You will validate water availability, hydraulics, and permitting requirements for complex wildfire sprinkler projects, working with contractors and agencies.

This hybrid, field-facing role travels to sites, collaborates with engineers and clients, and contributes to product feedback and documentation.

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years in hydraulic/mechanical/civil engineering or fire protection systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• CA permitting/regulatory approvals experience preferred.
• Strong hydraulics knowledge and ability to interpret drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic evaluations and design feasibility with field teams.
• Coordinate permitting with local authorities and water districts.
• Provide technical guidance on water systems, distribution, and pressure.
• Travel to job sites in Southern California (2–4 days per week).
• Collaborate with Sales, Design, and Operations to ensure project success.
• Develop documentation and training for new permitting workflows.
