Job summary

Frontline Wildfire Defense in the Greater Los Angeles area seeks a Solutions Engineer who blends hydraulics, field feasibility, and regulatory know-how to drive buildable wildfire sprinkler projects from concept through permit. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, field operations, and product.

You’ll travel 2–4 days per week in Southern California, collaborate with Sales, Design, and Installation Ops, and help ensure water systems meet regulatory requirements and perform

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering, mechanical/civil engineering, and plumbing design or fire protection systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with permitting processes, municipal codes, or regulatory approvals (CA experience strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own the technical evaluation process to close deals with confidence across Sales, Design, and Installation Ops.
• Collaborate with the Senior Solutions Engineer on complex projects; lead standard and mid-complexity evaluations.
• Provide design guidance on system layout and placement for field feasibility and implementability.
• Evaluate project feasibility focusing on water supply, pressure, and permitting requirements.
• Travel to job sites across Southern California as needed.
• Interface with local authorities and customers to explain technical considerations and obtain approvals.
• Support installation teams with technical clarification related to water systems and compliance.
