Job summary

goTenna Inc. seeks a Solutions Engineer to join the Solutions Architecture team.

You will be the technical bridge between US Government test organizations, third party performers, and goTenna, translating event needs into practical plans and coordinating cross-organizational efforts across product, engineering, PMO, and CX. Significant travel and on-site support are expected to ensure readiness and successful event execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in tactical communications, systems integration, solutions engineering, or technical planning for military, government, or operational test environments.
• Demonstrated ability to turn mission requirements into documented architectures, interface requirements, configurations, and validation plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical coordination: serve as goTenna’s technical point of contact for customers and partners, such as government and industry planners, range personnel, platform vendors, and partner teams.
• Translate event needs into requirements: define platform quantities, operating areas, tracking update rates, network capacity, coverage, and common operating picture needs.
• Plan communications and relay architectures: develop event-specific network diagrams, relay and gateway siting concepts, routing and backhaul approaches, and spectrum coordination inputs.
• Coordinate tracker and platform integration: work with partners and internal teams on tracker selection, mounting, power, configuration, and environmental needs for air, ground, and maritime platforms within the goTenna scope.
• Define data interfaces and handoffs: coordinate tracker-to-gateway and TAK/commonpicture data flows; clarify data formats, access, handling requirements, and responsibilities.
• Develop deep product expertise: build and maintain understanding of goTenna product capabilities, limitations, configuration options, and integration requirements.
• Align plans with product readiness: translate customer needs into inputs for Product and Engineering, communicate capability limits and tradeoffs.
• Prepare CX for execution: produce configuration baselines, equipment requirements, network plans, validation criteria, and technical briefings.
