Job description

Who we are

At MediaKind, we're reshaping the future of streaming video—and we're moving at incredible speed. Our cloud-native, agile technology enables customers to rapidly build, deploy, and scale premium streaming experiences, removing traditional barriers to innovation and growth.

We’re on a mission to transform how the world watches video: making every moment extraordinary, personalized and valuable for content owners and their consumers.

Here, you'll be part of a dynamic team that’s redefining how media experiences come to life. Our award winning products simplify complex operations, enabling customers—from iconic sports brands to innovative broadcasters and content owners—to focus purely on storytelling, and growth. By replacing legacy complexity with cloud-connected solutions, we ensure speed, simplicity, and commercial transparency. You’ll be joining a team that values practical thinking over buzzwords, and velocity over bureaucracy.

Beyond technology, our true strength lies in our people. We are committed to fostering a passionate community of creators, developers, and artists who love what they do. Together, we’ll redefine the art of streaming.

If you're ready to build what’s next in streaming—and do it with a team that moves fast, thinks boldly, and builds with intent—come make it happen with us.

About the Role
As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the technical face of our modern cloud and streaming SaaS platform MK.IO, partnering with Sales, Engineering, and Customer teams to architect, prototype, and deploy end-to-end broadcast workflows. You’ll lead Proof-of-Concepts for ultra-low latency and next-gen transport protocols, design scalable cloud-native and on-prem solutions, and drive adoption for the latest standards in IP-based broadcasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • PoC Design & Delivery: Collaborate with Systems Architects and Development Engineers to build and demo proof-of-concepts – live sports broadcasts, multi-CDN failover, SRT-backhauled contribution feeds, and cloud-native streaming workflows.
  • Protocol & Standards Integration: Hands-on integration and testing of ST 2110, SRT, RIST, Zixi, JPEG-XS, LL-HLS/LL-DASH, and SCTE-35/104 markers.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Deployments: Implement and optimize live-stream pipelines on AWS, Azure, or GCP, leveraging autoscaling, serverless functions, and IaC.
  • Automation & APIs: Develop scripts and tooling to automate workflows and orchestration. Extend REST APIs for custom customer integrations.
  • Customer Enablement: Lead deep-dive discovery calls, translate broadcast requirements into solution designs, and deliver demos and workshops.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Investigate and resolve configuration or deployment issues, ensuring smooth customer implementations.
  • Documentation & Training: Author and maintain runbooks, architecture guides, and best-practice playbooks; deliver training sessions to customers and internal teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Architecture, Product, R&D, and Operations to feedback customer requirements, influence roadmap priorities, and validate new features in real-world scenarios.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in video broadcast engineering, solutions engineering, or system integration – ideally in a customer-facing capacity.
  • Deep expertise in IP-based broadcast workflows (ST 2110, NMOS), contribution protocols (SRT, RIST, Zixi), and adaptive streaming (HLS, DASH).
  • Proven track record architecting and deploying live streaming solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or hybrid environments (certification preferred).
  • Solid networking fundamentals – VLANs, multicast, QoS, routing and troubleshooting for high-availability video transport.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for learning new tools and technologies—willing to deep-dive into advanced and emerging video streaming workflows.
