Job description

Join to apply for the PBTV Remotes Broadcast Engineer role at Tennis Channel.

Our Remotes Broadcast Engineer coordinates and maintains computer-based broadcast equipment. The Broadcast Engineer supports live studio productions and infrastructure upgrades. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining video, audio, and other broadcasting equipment, with a focus on live feeds from around the world.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on broadcast and computer equipment at remote locations.
  • Maintaining broadcast computer-based systems, software, hardware, and LAN applications.
  • Responding to equipment trouble calls, sometimes after hours.
  • Updating software, ensuring license compliance, and following IT security protocols.
  • Planning future equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Maintaining flexible hours during live tournaments and traveling to remote sites.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of broadcasting experience or equivalent knowledge.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented attitude and dedication to quality.
  • Ability to program Haivision gateways and Cisco Meraki networks.
  • Experience with mobile production trucks, IP workflows, editing systems, AVID, automation, SMPTE 2110, intercom systems, and Calrec audio consoles.
