Job summary

Asana is hiring a Solutions Engineer to join a newly formed team supporting Command for product development and engineering teams. You will partner with an Account Executive to build repeatable technical plays, lead discovery, and design solutions that demonstrate how modern software teams plan and execute with clarity.

The role blends technical rigor with customer empathy in a field-ready, early-stage go-to-market motion.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
Strong understanding of Engineering and product development team personas.
Familiarity with AI coding agents and related concepts (API/MCP, data structure, permissions, automation).
Excellent discovery, demos, and workshop facilitation for technical and executive audiences.
Ability to collaborate with AEs, CSMs, Product, and Marketing to drive customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead technical validation for opportunities from discovery to proof, demo, and close.
Develop understanding of product development workflows and map them to Command by Asana.
Translate customer pain points into practical solution designs and business value narratives.
Conduct technical discovery sessions, whiteboard discussions, and tailored demos.
Advise on solution architecture, integrations, and deployment approaches.
Collaborate with Account Executives, CSMs, and Solutions Engineers on expansion opportunities.
Create repeatable demo assets and collateral to scale the motion across the field.
Surface customer feedback and product gaps to inform roadmap and GTM strategy.
