Job description

About PredictHQ

AI and forecasting systems have a blind spot: the real-world conditions that shift demand land as surprises instead of signals. PredictHQ closes that gap. We're the real-world context platform trusted by some of the world's largest enterprises, including Uber, Expedia, and CVS, explaining more than 60 per cent of real-world demand variability so businesses can make high-stakes decisions on pricing, staffing, and inventory with confidence.

Our Values

PredictHQ is about teamwork to achieve huge things. We are building innovative and complex products, so our empathetic, hard-working culture is key to our success. We are proactive in helping our teammates grow and thrive in their careers, as well as making sure everyone can put their family and friends first.

Job Purpose

As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll be the technical linchpin of our Go-to-Market team - proving value fast in evaluations, de-risking technical decisions, and converting pilots into scalable, recurring revenue. You’ll architect intelligent, real-world-aware solutions that unlock the full potential of PredictHQ, while delivering a consistent, high-quality sales experience and a seamless activation that bridges the pre-sales promise with post-sales reality.

You’ll support both acquisition and expansion, collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering to:

  • Qualify opportunities, define use cases, and shape tailored Customer Solution Architectures
  • Be the technical lead for customer evaluations and pilots, proving value through measurable outcomes
  • Own onboarding delivery to ensure seamless implementation and use case activation
  • Influence product evolution by feeding learnings back into our roadmap
What You'll Do

Discovery & Solution Design (Pre-Sales)

  • Partner with AEs to run deep technical discovery: understand customer goals, data workflows, forecasting processes, and technical maturity
  • Uncover use cases beyond what the customer initially presents by learning how they operate today and identifying where our products can add additional value
  • Determine product fit and architect scalable, repeatable solutions built with our products
  • Own and maintain the Customer Solution Architecture, your blueprint for customer success from discovery to onboarding

Evaluation & Solution Design (Pre-Sales)

  • Design and execute technical evaluations via API aligned to defined success criteria
  • Interpret evaluation results and present them as a compelling narrative that connects technical performance to business impact.
  • Guide customers through next steps, whether that's running a back-test on their side, exploring additional data, or defining a path to production
  • Manage evaluations with clear milestones, deliverables, and timelines

Implementation & Activation (Post-Sales)

  • Lead implementation technical kickoff: confirm solution design, timelines, and responsibilities
  • Ensure continuity between what was committed during pre-sales and what gets delivered in implementation
  • Work alongside customer technical teams to support integration into their existing data workflows and systems
  • Validate end-to‑end implementation and confirm use case activation is delivering expected value
  • Finalize the Customer Solution Architecture with implementation notes and hand off to Account Executives or Managers

Expansion & Enablement

  • Partner with AEs and Account Managers to support expansion within existing customers, bringing technical depth to growth conversations
  • Assess how customers are currently using our data and intelligence, identify underutilized capabilities, and recommend ways to extend into new use cases
  • Bring the same consultative discovery rigor to expansion as to new deals, understanding what has changed in the customer's business since initial implementation
  • Help customers see the full potential of what they already have access to and where additional value can be unlocked

Product & Strategy Alignment

  • Serve as the voice of the customer, bringing insights from across the full lifecycle (pre-sales, implementation, and expansion) to inform product roadmap and priorities
  • Translate patterns from onboarding and customer feedback into actionable improvements for GTM processes and technical resources
  • Champion simplification and use‑case clarity across all technical touchpoints
What You’ll Bring
  • 3-5 years of industry experience with 1-2 years of experience as a Sales or Solutions Engineer.
  • API & data fluency: Comfortable with API-centric/data-pipeline architectures; able to quantify forecasting impact and business value.
    • Experience with data science, specifically demand forecasting, time-series modelling or applied analytics
    • Broad experience using APIs, building dataframes, and comfort with managing large-scale database integrations (BigQuery, Azure, Snowflake, etc.).
    • Experience in Python (and/or other programming languages) to build, execute, and adjust scripts.
  • Strong consultative discovery skills, able to go beyond surface requirements, understand how customers work today, and surface opportunities they have not yet identified
  • Proven success guiding enterprise customers through pre-sales, implementation and scale
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales, Product, Engineering and Data Science to foster cross‑functional collaboration
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to present to C‑suite and technical stakeholders alike, translating technical results into clear business narratives
  • Builder mindset, create templates, reference code, and instruments so great work scales.
  • Ability to travel and be on site with customers as required (20-30% of your time).

General

  • Applicants for this position must be a US citizen or have a valid United States work visa.
  • Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies and procedures, applicable legislation, rules, and standards, including relevant Acts, Advertising Standards Authority rules and regulations, and industry body requirements.
  • The salary range for hiring for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 base, plus a variable component
  • Based in New York, this role follows our hybrid approach - combining the flexibility of working from home with time in the office to foster team connection and collaboration.

Benefits

  • Health Insurance administered by Sequoia One
  • Paid Birthday Leave and Paid Family and Friends Day Leave
  • Strong focus on your training and development
  • 10 weeks of fully paid parental leave
  • Flexible work arrangements
  • A hybrid work environment centred on collaboration, agility and fun
  • Options in a fast-growing company in its early stages
  • $500 annual stipend to support your work‑from‑home setup
