Position Title: Solutions Engineer - Midwest (Remote)

Location: Grand Prairie, TX/Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

1. Implements hardware and software for energy management/monitoring solutions and Sm@rtGear Apparatus.
2. Understands and applies safety procedures.
3. Follows basic standard project documentation for project completion.
4. Identifies problems as they occur and takes proactive steps to solve them.
5. Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field work.
6. Prepare explanations to enable proper interpretation/evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics, or other technical data.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

1. BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Information Systems.
2. 3 plus years prior professional experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Information Systems.
3. Experience with serial communications (i.e. RS 485) and conversions to TCP/IP.
4. Experience with the following communication protocols: Modbus, Profibus, OPC.
5. Network, Communication Protocols, and Troubleshooting skills.
6. Knowledge and experience with multiple operating systems including servers.
7. TIA Portal Experience.
8. Must possess the ability to travel 80%.
9. Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Strong communication skill both written and verbal.
2. Ability to work independently as well as work with other groups or teams.
3. In-depth PLC programming experience.
4. Knowledge and experience using WinPM.Net, Power Monitoring Expert, PowerScada, PowerXpert, etc.
5. In-depth experience with Utilities, Metering, and/or Networking (TCP/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
6. Time and task management skills (e.g., Project Manager, Project Engineer).
7. SQL Database experience (Creating Queries, Data Manipulation).

2. The pay range for this position is $79,900 - $137,100. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
