Solutions Design Engineer (Racking/Automation)

Alexander James Recruiting Ltd is seeking a Solutions Design Engineer with experience in warehouse automation, material handling, and racking & storage engineering across the UK, Europe, and North America.

This role involves working with an international provider of automated pallet shuttle systems, supporting clients primarily on the US East Coast. The position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work remotely with occasional travel to customer sites and Florida.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their technical and business needs
• Use AutoCAD and other design software to develop tailored solutions for pallet shuttle systems
• Assist sales teams with demos and proofs of concept before and after sales
• Clearly communicate design concepts to customers
• Manage customer concerns and adapt designs as needed throughout project timelines

Requirements

• Experience in solutions design for pallet shuttle projects or related automated systems
• Strong knowledge of intralogistics and material handling
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and similar design software
• Based within the Eastern Time Zone; remote work with travel requirements
