Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a Design Engineer – Solutions Engineering to translate customer requirements into optimized technical designs and provide deployment support throughout the product lifecycle.

The role collaborates with Product Management, R&D Engineering, and Application Engineering to ensure proper application of standard products or derivatives, enabling effective customer solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics or related discipline) required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound engineering judgment and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks with limited supervision.
• Proficiency with CAD tools: SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design components, assemblies, or subsystems based on defined requirements.
• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and tolerances.
• Perform calculations, simulations, or analyses to validate design performance.
• Support root cause analysis and design improvements.
• Prepare and maintain drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
