Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the Z Machine IT Infrastructure Operations team. You will oversee daily IT infrastructure, drive architecture across compute, storage, networking, and cyber security, and guide SSPs, controls, and accreditation for Z Machine and Z Beamlet networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field with 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience architecting and supporting complex enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Proven cybersecurity requirements, risk management, and accreditation knowledge.
• Ability to lead solution design, coordinate with stakeholders, and deliver outcomes.
• DOE Q security clearance eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Z Machine IT Infrastructure Operations team and manage day‑to‑day support.
• Serve as lead architect for IT infrastructure across compute, storage, and networks.
• Lead development and maintenance of SSPs, security controls, and accreditation artifacts.
• Translate customer requirements into secure architectures and support models.
