Job summary

Skylo Technologies is seeking a high-impact Solutions Architect for Skylo Government Systems to bridge business development, executive leadership, and core engineering. You will translate complex mission needs into actionable architectures and coordinate with DoD, IC, and international partners to deploy direct-to-device communications globally.

You will design end-to-end architectures, ensure security, and lead technical capture for proposals and demonstrations, interfacing with defense leaders

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of 3GPP NTN standards (NB‑NTN, NR‑NTN) and defense programs background.
• Strong foundation in communications theory, DSP, RF link budgets and wave propagation.
• Hands-on understanding of mobile devices, chipset integration and cellular stacks (3GPP 4G/5G).
• In-depth knowledge of SATCOM architectures (GEO/LEO) and satellite payloads.
• Experience with national security use cases and covert/expeditionary constraints.
• Clearance eligibility and ability to obtain/maintain required federal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Bridge Mission & Engineering: translate mission needs into technical architectures and backlogs.
• Architect Hybrid & Resilient Networks integrating NTN with legacy defense networks and satellites.
• Support mission-critical use cases for operational environments.
• Apply advanced security architectures including CSfC and encryption methods.
• Lead technical capture, customer engagements, RFI/RFP responses and field trials.
• Advise on device and chipset integration with Skylo-enabled modems and tactical systems.
