Job summary

Plane is seeking a Solutions Architect to own the technical architecture for enterprise and regulated deployments. You will design self-hosted, air-gapped deployments and run rigorous technical discovery with customers, translating security needs into concrete deployment decisions.

You will collaborate with sales and engineering to close gaps, define migration paths, and respond to questionnaires. This role focuses on delivering auditable, scalable deployments for complex environments.

• Designed and defended a technical architecture to skeptical buyers.
• Translated security/compliance requirements into deployment decisions.
• Able to read and respond to complex security questionnaires with concrete actions.
• Able to articulate technical tradeoffs on sales calls.
• Wrote documentation that customers can follow and implement.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture for enterprise and regulated deployments, from discovery through signed statements of work.
• Design self-hosted and air-gapped Plane deployments meeting customer security reviews.
• Lead technical discovery with customers and earn trust for next steps.
• Define migration paths when customers move off legacy tools, identifying what data does not survive the move.
• Collaborate daily with sales on live deals and with engineering to close gaps in product.
• Respond to security questionnaires in a precise, consistent format across engagements.
