Job summary

AWS Enterprise Team in North America seeks a Solutions Architect for Engineering, Construction, Real Estate, and Transportation (ECRT) customers. You will define technical direction, craft AI-assisted proofs, and validate architectures in customer sandboxes, building working prototypes and PoCs to accelerate decisions and adoption.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• Knowledge of cloud architecture
• Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
• Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage

Responsibilities

• Build working prototypes in customer non-production sandbox environments using AI-augmented development tools to validate architectural recommendations and accelerate customer adoption
• Implement directly to unblock customer decisions: build PoCs for digital twins, fleet IoT, predictive maintenance, and agentic AI, proving architectural approaches
• Deploy infrastructure using IaC (CDK, Terraform) in customer sandboxes, demonstrating scalability and security patterns
• Apply GenAI and agentic systems where they solve ECRT customer problems
• Frame and resolve technical trade-offs involving security vs. cost vs. operational burden etc.
• Make cross-cutting architectural decisions that ensure coherence across systems and teams
• Diagnose resilience gaps, failover weaknesses, scaling bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities in industrial IoT contexts
• Own architectural decisions downstream and stay engaged through implementation
