Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Denver seeks an Enterprise Solutions Architect for Engineering, Construction, Real Estate, and Transportation (ECRT) to define technical direction, develop AI-augmented solutions, and validate architectures in customer sandboxes.

You will own end-to-end technical strategy for strategic customers, partner with sales to exceed revenue objectives, and guide teams through architectural decisions while balancing security, cost, and time-to-market.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Build working prototypes in customer sandbox environments using AI-augmented development tools to validate architectural recommendations and accelerate adoption.
• Implement PoCs for digital twins, fleet IoT, predictive maintenance, and agentic AI to prove architectural approaches.
• Deploy infrastructure using IaC (CDK, Terraform) in customer sandboxes, demonstrating scalable and secure patterns.
• Apply GenAI and agentic systems to solve customer problems as needed.
• Frame and resolve technical trade-offs with clear recommendations and alternatives.
• Make cross-cutting architectural decisions ensuring coherence across systems and teams.
• Diagnose resilience, failover, scaling, and security issues specific to industrial IoT and construction tech environments.
• Own architectural decisions downstream and manage consequences with the customer when revisiting is required.
• Stay engaged through implementation to ensure architecture holds in the customer's environment.
