Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to serve as a key technical leader responsible for designing, integrating, and supporting solutions for healthcare payer clients. This role requires a unique balance of hands‑on technical expertise and customer‑facing consulting, with approximately 50% of the role focused on solution architecture, integration development, and technical problem‑solving, and 50% focused on client engagement, requirements gathering, and solution advisory activities.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience within the health insurance payer industry and possess a strong understanding of enterprise integrations, identity and access management, Single Sign-On (SSO), and healthcare technology ecosystems. This individual will act as the bridge between customers, implementation teams, product management, and engineering to ensure successful solution delivery and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Customer Engagement
- Serve as the technical lead and trusted advisor for healthcare payer clients.
- Partner with customers to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and operational workflows.
- Design end‑to‑end solution architectures that align with client and organizational goals.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture reviews, and integration workshops.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Support implementation planning and provide guidance throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to ensure successful client outcomes.
Integration & Technical Delivery
- Design, develop, and support integrations between the company's platform and third‑party systems.
- Lead technical discussions regarding integrations with identity management solutions such as Ping Identity and other authentication platforms.
- Architect and support Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations using SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and related technologies.
- Provide hands‑on support for API integrations, data exchange workflows, and system interoperability.
- Troubleshoot complex integration and implementation challenges.
- Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and implementation guides.
- Work closely with Engineering teams to identify product enhancements and improve integration capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Integration Engineering, Technical Consulting, or similar client‑facing technical roles.
- Direct experience working within or supporting health insurance payer organizations.
- Strong understanding of payer operations, healthcare technology environments, and enterprise application ecosystems.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations and API‑based solutions.
- Hands‑on expertise with SSO technologies, including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and federation protocols.
- Experience with Ping Identity or similar Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting healthcare SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with healthcare data exchange standards and interoperability frameworks.
- Knowledge of claims, enrollment, care management, provider, and member systems.
- Experience with cloud‑based architectures and modern integration patterns.
- Prior experience working in Professional Services, Customer Success, or Implementation organizations.
