Job summary

Storm3 is seeking an Integrations Tech Lead / Solutions Architect to guide the architecture of a healthcare interoperability platform in the United States. You will work across Engineering, Product, Delivery and customer teams to shape scalable integration solutions and platform strategy.

The role requires deep experience with HL7v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, REST APIs, and cloud-native distributed systems, preferably on AWS. You will mentor engineers and drive API standards and automation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Software Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Healthcare Interoperability.
• 5+ years delivering enterprise healthcare integrations.
• Strong experience with HL7v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR and REST APIs.
• Experience integrating with EMR/EHR platforms like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Integrations Tech Lead / Solutions Architect to lead the architecture and technical direction of a rapidly growing healthcare interoperability platform.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you'll work across Engineering, Product, Delivery and customer teams, helping shape both customer solutions and long-term platform strategy.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years in Software Engineering, Solutions Architecture or Healthcare Interoperability.
• 5+ years delivering enterprise healthcare integrations.
• Strong experience with HL7v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR and REST APIs.
• Experience integrating with Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Athenahealth, Homecare Homebase or similar EMR/EHR platforms.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data mapping, workflow integrations and patient identity management.
• Experience with integration engines such as Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf or similar.
• Proven experience designing integration architectures and making key technical decisions, with the ability to clearly explain the rationale behind them.
• Experience defining, building or overseeing API strategies and implementations.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems, ideally on AWS.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Recent HealthTech experience is essential.

Nice to Have

• Experience building interoperability platforms.
• Event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging.
• OAuth2, OpenID Connect and healthcare identity management.
• Knowledge of TEFCA, QHINs, PACIO, Bulk FHIR or CDS Hooks.
• Experience working with health systems, home health or care coordination organisations.
