Job description

Lanter Delivery Systems is a multi-regional logistics company and a leader in overnight, unattended delivery of auto and agricultural parts from Customer's distribution centers to dealer locations. Our customers include major U.S. automakers and agricultural equipment manufacturers such as GM, Ford, Chrysler, John Deere, Cummins, and Case New Holland. Lanter guarantees shipments placed in the late afternoon will be delivered the next morning by 8:00 AM. Come be part of a growing team!

Lanter Delivery Systems is currently seeking a Solutions and Design Analyst. This position involves evaluating and designing truck transportation routes to maximize delivery efficiency for our customers. The analyst will work under the supervision of the VP of Solutions and Design.

Remote work is possible, with a preference for candidates in the St. Louis area.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain master route schedules and change requests.
2. Resolve service issues related to delivery schedules.
3. Maintain reports measuring the cost-effectiveness of routing solutions.
4. Analyze and implement routing improvements to enhance service and reduce costs.
5. Partner with operations to adjust routing as the business evolves to maximize efficiency.
6. Analyze routing data to identify efficiency opportunities.
7. Evaluate prospective and new customer data to develop routing solutions and pricing.
8. Assess prospective acquisitions for logistics synergies.
9. Provide operational reports on projects.
10. Perform other analysis and reporting as needed.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Business, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. At least five (5) years of experience in finance, transportation operations, or traffic functions.
3. Experience with routing truck traffic using software (Appian routing software preferred but not required).
4. Understanding of computer file structures.
5. Knowledge of basic accounting and profit/loss concepts.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
7. Effective time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
8. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
9. Proactive and initiative-taking attitude.
10. Team-oriented with a positive, professional demeanor.
11. Strong data analysis background.
12. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
