Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a Solution Architect to own and shape technical solutions at the value-stream and product level. The role is hands-on, collaborating with Tech Leads, Product Owners, and delivery teams to translate business needs into secure, scalable technology solutions.

Operates within a federated Enterprise Architecture model, aligning with enterprise standards and governance to ensure consistent risk-aware decisions across domains. Location: Hybrid; 3 days in office.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, data integration, and modern app architectures.
• Experience collaborating within Agile/product-based delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Owns product/team-level solution design and delivery architecture.
• Design and document solution architectures including app, integration, data, and infrastructure components.
• Partner with Product Owners and Tech Leads to align roadmaps and MVP scope.
• Ensure solutions follow Guardian architecture standards and security requirements.
• Mentor engineers on architecture principles and problem-solving techniques.
• Lead proofs-of-concept for new business capabilities and technology strategy.
