Job summary

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to own and shape technical solutions at the value-stream level. You will partner with Tech Leads, Product Owners and delivery teams to translate business needs into secure, scalable technology solutions within a federated Enterprise Architecture model.

Three days per week you will work at Guardian locations in the Northeast corridor (NJ, NY, CT, PA).

Qualifications

Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, data integration, and modern application architectures.
Experience collaborating within Agile / product-based delivery models.
Experience in designing hybrid architectures (on-premise + public cloud).
Knowledge of GenAI frameworks, tools and best practices.
Ability to balance speed, quality, risk and long-term sustainability in decisions.

Responsibilities

Owns product/team-level solution design and delivery architecture.
Design and document solution architectures (application, data, integration, infrastructure).
Align roadmaps, MVP scope, and trade-offs with Product Owners and Tech Leads.
Ensure adherence to Guardian architecture standards and security requirements.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to reuse enterprise capabilities.
Mentor engineers on architecture principles and problem-solving.
Lead proof-of-concepts for new business capabilities and influence technology strategy.
Provide hands-on guidance on design quality and code structure.
