Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a Solution Architect to own product-level solution design and delivery architecture. You will work with tech leads, product owners, and delivery teams to translate business needs into secure, scalable technology solutions.

The role involves collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and platform teams to reuse capabilities, while mentoring engineers and leading proofs-of-concepts. Hybrid work model with NY/NJ/CT/PA locations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, data integration and modern architectures.
• Experience in Agile/product-based delivery models.
• Designs hybrid on-premises and cloud architectures.
• Proven track record in large-scale, insurance-domain systems.
• Good understanding of GenAI frameworks and best practices.
• Strong ability to balance speed, quality, risk, and long-term sustainability.
• Excellent communication to translate technical concepts for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Owns product/team-level solution design and delivery architecture.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Tech Leads on roadmaps and MVPs.
• Ensure designs follow Guardian architecture standards and security requirements.
• Mentor engineers on architecture principles and problem-solving.
• Lead proof-of-concepts and drive technology strategy alignment.
• Identify dependencies and remove impediments to delivery.
• Provide hands-on guidance on design quality and code structure.
