Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services seeks a SolidWorks Mechanical Drafter for a growing manufacturing company in Fresno, CA. You will create 2D and 3D SolidWorks models, assemblies, weldments, sheet metal designs, production drawings, and BOMs to support design and production of specialized truck equipment and road maintenance vehicles.

Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5+ years of SolidWorks drafting or mechanical design experience.
• Experience reading and creating engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Associate degree or technical training in drafting or related field.
• CSWA or CSWP training or certification is relevant.
• Ability to work with engineering, purchasing, and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D SolidWorks models, assemblies, weldments, sheet metal designs, and production drawings.
• Develop detailed manufacturing documentation and bills of materials.
• Support product revisions and production-ready documentation for custom equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to improve drawings.
• Assist with new product development and implementation into manufacturing processes.
• Maintain organized technical documentation for components, assemblies, options, and revisions.
