Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services in Fresno, CA is seeking a SolidWorks Mechanical Drafter to join its engineering team. You will create accurate SolidWorks models, assemblies, weldments, sheet metal designs, production drawings, and bills of materials for specialty truck equipment and road maintenance vehicles.

This hands-on role requires collaboration with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to ensure documentation accuracy and design for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5+ years of SolidWorks drafting or mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks 3D modeling, assemblies, weldments, sheet metal, and BOMs.
• Experience reading and creating engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with GD&T and fabrication standards.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D SolidWorks models, assemblies, weldments, sheet metal designs, and production drawings.
• Develop detailed fabrication drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, weldment drawings, and bills of materials.
• Support product revisions, configuration options, and production-ready documentation for custom equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to improve drawing accuracy and resolve documentation or quality issues.
• Assist with new product development and implementation of designs into manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Maintain organized technical documentation for components, assemblies, options, and revisions.
