Job summary

Apparent Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Drafter with strong SolidWorks skills to translate concepts into detailed CAD models, drawings, and fixtures for manufacturing.

This full-time, onsite role in Austin requires at least 2 years of SolidWorks experience and 1 year on a production floor, preferably in the semiconductor industry. You will support prototype builds and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience using 3D CAD software.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• 1+ year of manufacturing-floor or production-line experience, preferably semiconductor.
• Experience creating CAD models, assembly drawings, and manufacturing prints.
• Understanding of mechanical components, assemblies, drawing standards, and dimensioning.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed manufacturing drawings, 3D CAD models, and 2D production prints using SolidWorks.
• Develop and modify mechanical components, assemblies, and production fixtures.
• Support prototype builds and collaborate with the engineering team to refine designs.
• Work with manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot production issues and improve designs.
• Apply drawing standards, GD&T, and ensure manufacturability.
