Alamo Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Designer for our manufacturing operations. You will draft changes to engineering drawings using 3D CAD, validate BOM accuracy, and assign new part numbers as needed to support production.

Ideal candidates will have SolidWorks proficiency, an associate degree in engineering or drafting, and at least one year of design/drafting experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of 3-D wire frame construction and 2D/3D layouts.
• Minimum 1 year design/drafting experience in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with welding symbols and BOM processes.

Responsabilités

• Draft changes to engineering drawings using 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) for manufacturing changes.
• Update Bills of Materials (BOM) and assign new part numbers as needed.
• Examine defective parts and determine material changes for resolution.
• Coordinate Engineering software, PDM and MRP updates and troubleshooting.
• Provide support with engineering drawings for sales and parts offices.
