Job summary

Actalent seeks a Mechanical Drafter in Algona, IA to create and modify 2D/3D drawings using SolidWorks and support engineering projects. You will prepare documentation, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and keep drawings and reports up to date. Onsite five days a week, with a contract-to-hire path and competitive hourly pay.

This role requires precise drafting, familiarity with ERP for inventory/work orders, and strong MS Office 365 skills. AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks for 2D/3D drafting and modeling.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory and work orders.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and related Office 365 tools.
• Strong attention to detail in technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and models in SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet schedules.
• Prepare, update and maintain drawings, specs and reports.
• Organize project information using MS Office 365 suite.
• Review drawings and incorporate design changes.
