Job summary

The Mice Groups, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a 6-month Contract-to-Hire engagement in the San Francisco area, offering hybrid remote/on-site options.

You will design components and assemblies with SolidWorks, from concept through detailed development and production, while applying GD&T and ANSI standards. The role requires hands-on design experience, collaboration with management, vendors, and contract manufacturers, and the ability to thrive in a small, dynamic startup-like

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5+ years of professional mechanical design experience preferred.
• Strong SolidWorks CAD and SolidWorks PDM experience.
• Understanding of GD&T, ANSI standards, and 2D/3D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical designs and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Develop new designs from scratch based on direction and requirements.
• Modify and redesign components and assemblies as needed.
• Review 2D/3D drawings and assess form, fit, and function.
• Document engineering data and maintain design records in SolidWorks PDM.
• Collaborate with management, contract manufacturers, and vendors.
