Job summary

3dB Labs, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team in the Ohio area. The role focuses on hands-on mechanical design, documentation, and liaison with suppliers for prototypes and production builds, using SolidWorks as the primary CAD tool.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5–10 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with electronic assemblies and PDM systems. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks.
• 5–10 years of experience.
• Experience in electronic or electrical assemblies.
• Government contracting experience preferred.
• Experience with PDM systems.
• Experience with sheet metal, machined parts, and enclosure design.
• Ability to obtain a US Government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Use SolidWorks for mechanical design and development.
• Maintain all engineering documentation and issue change numbers.
• Assist with prototype builds and develop build documentation.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to obtain quotes, lead times, and order parts.
• Assist in customer project documentation.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Design and Product Design teams to meet requirements.
• Alert the design team when design issues are found.
• Assist with ongoing mechanical tasks and 3D prints around the building.
