Job summary

TAS Energy, a Houston-headquartered company, is seeking an Assistant Manager - SolidWorks to lead hands-on design work and supervise drafting staff. You will create and check SolidWorks models, coordinate design interfaces, and ensure adherence to TAS standards while guiding a team in delivering safe, compliant, high-quality work on schedule and within budget.

You will also supervise, coach, and develop design personnel, participate in hiring and training, and support manpower planning and KPI

Qualifications

• Hands-on SolidWorks experience creating and checking production models/drawings.
• Experience supporting Lead Designers on complex packaged-equipment projects.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and coordinate design/drafting personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support lead designers with design coordination, problem-solving, and schedule adherence.
• Interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, specifications, and layouts.
• Create, modify, check, and approve assemblies, BOMs, and drawings for release.
• Design sub-assemblies considering manufacturing constraints and codes.
• Assist with project planning, labor estimates, and progress tracking.
• Attend meetings to coordinate interfaces with Stakeholders.
