The role blends hands-on SolidWorks work with people leadership, coaching designers, reviewing drawings, and ensuring design quality, safety, and schedule adherence. You will coordinate with engineering leadership, manage work plans, and mentor staff to develop capabilities while delivering compliant, high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant mechanical, structural, piping, electrical, or packaged-equipment design experience.
• Hands-on SolidWorks experience and production-model checking.
• Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, or coordinating design/drafting personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support lead designers on moderate to complex packaged-equipment projects from turnover through release by assisting with design coordination, technical problem-solving, workload planning, and the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, specifications, site and equipment layouts, piping plans, general arrangement drawings, BOMs, and customer design inputs.
• Create, modify, check, and approve SolidWorks models, assemblies, layouts, section views, and BOMs with accurate callouts.
• Lead design activities while considering manufacturing constraints and safety and code requirements.
• Mentor and develop designers, manage workload, and track progress and KPIs.
