Job summary

MacLean Power Systems (MPS) is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter to join our applications engineering group. The role focuses on SolidWorks-driven development and collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into precise technical artifacts.

The ideal candidate will produce accurate 3D models and 2D drawings, maintain BOMs, and support engineering change notices while adhering to company standards and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks modeling and drafting proficiency.
• Ability to produce production-ready drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation standards.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks with a focus on manufacturability and documentation.
• Produce and manage basic AutoCAD drawings with proper layers, tolerancing, and annotations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to translate design intent into CAD content.
• Develop and maintain BOMs, parts lists, and assembly structures within SolidWorks and related systems.
• Assist in creating technical documentation, specifications, and ECNs.
• Support design reviews by providing CAD models and drawings and iterating based on feedback.
• Ensure CAD data and documentation comply with company standards and project requirements.
• Utilize MS Office tools for data management, reporting, and correspondence.
