Flow Control Group is seeking a SolidWorks CAD Drafter in Saint Louis Park, MN to create cartridge and assembly drawings for plastics-related projects. You will design and document mechanical components, work with fabrication teams, and ensure drawings meet specifications.

The role emphasizes accuracy, multi-project handling, and cross-functional collaboration. Applicants should be proficient in SolidWorks, detail-oriented, and able to produce clear documentation and reports.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently operate SolidWorks software.
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking directions from team leaders and sales representatives
• Work with our fabrication and manufacturing teams to update drawings to reflect as-builts
• Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
• Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
• Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
• Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
• Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
• Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations
• Develop and maintain a product library of components and assemblies
