Job summary

Hurco Companies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will provide CAD design and solid modeling support for engineers and designers while helping develop and maintain accurate engineering documentation for our CNC machine tools.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field.
Experience using SolidWorks or another 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks preferred.
Experience creating detailed mechanical drawings and assemblies.
Familiarity with BOMs and engineering documentation.
Experience with PDM systems and ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Create and detail mechanical assemblies and components using SolidWorks.
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Process ECNs through PDM and ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including SOPs, specs, part numbers.
Support engineers by producing drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
Keep documentation accurate, organized, and up to date.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development and improvement initiatives.
