Job summary

Uniiited is seeking an Application Engineer in Michigan with a strong SolidWorks background to support customers, engineers, and field sales. You will create detailed drawings for power generation equipment and complex fabrications, while engaging with customers and training the sales team.

The role emphasizes drawing standards, GD&T, and collaboration with fabrication shops. Expect occasional travel to sites, direct access to leadership, and opportunities for growth within a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Mechanical preferred.
• 3+ years of engineering experience; entry-level with strong training considered.
• SolidWorks proficiency required with daily part/assembly drawings.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and its application to detail drawings.
• Ability to interpret sketches, specs, and technical documents.
• Experience in power generation, machinery installation, or manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed part, assembly, and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
• Apply GD&T to ensure fit, function, and manufacturability; manage revisions.
• Coordinate with fabrication shops to ensure shop-readiness and resolve questions.
• Produce drawings supporting quotations for manufacturing and customers.
• Maintain product drawings, standards, and documentation control.
• Travel occasionally to customer and project sites; train sales personnel.
