Job summary

Woodweb is seeking a Design Engineer to support our custom manufacturing operations. The role emphasizes SolidWorks for building detailed 3D models, assemblies, and shop drawings, with training available for millwork standards as needed.

You will interpret project documentation, manage BOMs, and ensure drawings meet deadlines and quality standards while collaborating with project managers and production teams. Relocation to Indiana is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience using SolidWorks.
• Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings and assemblies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and shop drawings using SolidWorks.
• Interpret architectural, design, and internal project documentation.
• Develop and maintain cut lists, BOMs, and part files.
• Ensure drawings meet production standards, quality expectations, and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, production teams, and installers.
• Resolve engineering challenges related to custom manufacturing and fitment.
• Maintain organized documentation and revision control throughout each project.
