Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Solids Control Technician to support drilling and waste management in Gillette, WY and surrounding Powder River Basin areas. You will operate and maintain solids control equipment, perform dewatering, and manage waste while upholding strict safety and environmental standards.

The role requires 2+ years of field solids control experience, ability to operate heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years in solids control or drilling fluids.
Experience with dewatering equipment and waste management.
Experience operating heavy equipment including wheel loaders and skid steers.
Ability to perform basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
Knowledge of oilfield safety practices and environmental compliance.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain solids control equipment such as shakers and centrifuges.
Perform dewatering operations to reduce waste volumes.
Operate heavy equipment to transport and manage drilling waste.
Operate grinders for material processing and waste reduction.
Conduct routine inspections and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Maintain field reports and safety documentation.
Coordinate with drilling contractors and rig personnel.
Follow OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations and participate in safety training.
Keep the worksite clean and promote safety culture.
