Job summary

Kayden Industries is seeking a driven solids control technician to support field operations across multiple states. You will work on road-based assignments with a 20/10 hitch, handling barite recovery, dewatering processes, and heavy equipment such as compressors, pumps, and instrumentation panels.

The role requires at least two years in oil and gas, strong communication, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance, startup/shutdown procedures, and daily safety checks in variable weather

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years oil and gas experience.
• Knowledge of solids control and heavy equipment operation.
• Able to work outdoors in extreme weather.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Experience with barite recovery and dewatering.
• Willingness to travel across multiple states and work on hitch schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, shutdown and operating procedures for equipment.
• Rigging, troubleshooting, and daily safety checks.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Collect operational daily reports and fluid samples.
• Communicate with supervisors, managers, safety and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years oil and gas experience
• A basic understanding of oil and gas operations, working knowledge of solids control process, and experience with operating heavy equipment is considered a significant plus
• Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Perform all preventive maintenance such as greasing bearings, checking bearings and seals for wear and damage, changing oil and fluids in equipment, as well as keeping equipment cleaned and in working order
• Must be able to execute start up, shut down and operating procedures for such equipment as, but not limited to; compressors, electric motors, pumps, instrumentation panels, and valves and manifolds
• Perform or assist in rigging activities, troubleshooting equipment, preventative maintenance, repairs, daily safety checks and monitor solids control activities
• Barite recovery and dewatering experience is a must
• Vertical Dryer experience is a plus
• Must have effective communication skills
• Must have basic computer skills, such as but not limited to (Word, Excel, Time applications)
• Must be able to work independently or as a team
• Must adhere to and enforce all applicable company, local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
• Collect, compile, and complete operational daily reports and collect fluid samples
• Communicate with operations supervisors, regional managers, safety department, shop and maintenance employees and clerical staff

Travel -This position will include travel to various states

Certifications/Licenses-Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle

Work Location: On the road; this position is away from home while on hitch for 20 days.

Work Schedule -This position may cover 24-hour operations and must be available for 20/10 schedule
