Qualifications

• Performs preventative maintenance on solid waste vehicles and equipment.
• Conducts light mechanical repairs on vehicles, containers, and related equipment.
• Maintains maintenance logs and completes work orders.
• Follows safety procedures and uses PPE per policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on solid waste vehicles and equipment, including greasing and inspecting components.
• Conducts light mechanical repairs on trucks, containers, carts, and related equipment.
• Delivers, repairs, and replaces residential refuse and recycling containers.
• Assists with installation and maintenance of dumpsters and bins.
• Maintains cleanliness of shops, yards, and container storage areas.
• Picks up litter and debris around facilities as needed.
• Reports equipment problems and safety concerns to supervisors.
