Job summary

City of Maypearl in Irving, Texas, is hiring a solid-waste / refuse collection operator. You will collect refuse, brush and debris and transport it to the city landfill or approved Material Recycle Center.

This outdoor role works under varying weather, with lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. A Class A or B CDL is required, plus a high school diploma or equivalent and English communication skills.

Job description

Duties will require working outdoors under a variety of weather conditions and typically will require lifting up to 50 pounds
frequently and up to 100 pounds with the assistance of other employees.
PAY GRADE SW01 / FULL PAY RANGE $25.32 - $33.01 PER HOUR ($52,668 - $68,676 ANNUALLY)

A high school diploma or equivalent with one yearrelevant experience, and at least six months recent experience driving any vehicle that requires a Class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL) to operate. Must currently possess a Class A or B CDL; and, have formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to communicate in English at a level necessary for successful job performance, such as in emergencies or other situations in which workers must speak a common language to promote safety. Normal schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. four days per week.
