Job summary

HDR's Waste program in Charlotte, NC seeks a Solid Waste EIT or Designer to support planning, design, and construction projects. The role focuses on waste management facilities from collection to disposal and is based in HDR's Charlotte office.

Ideal candidates hold an EIT or are pursuing it, with proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS, plus strong communication skills and a background in environmental engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineers with site studies, site designs, and documentation.
• Perform site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage.
• Complete routine engineering tasks using standard techniques.
• Deliver projects with clear objectives and limited variables.
• Support project management with admin duties.
• Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers.
• Perform other duties as needed.
