Job summary

The City of Peoria seeks a Solid Waste Operational Coordinator to support the division with data-driven route and fleet optimization at the Municipal Operations Center in Peoria, AZ. The role requires coordinating with staff across departments and training operators on in-truck technology.

Applicants should have an associate degree or equivalent, 3+ years in data collection/analysis, GIS experience, and knowledge of solid waste equipment. CDL-B preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in any field or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in data collection, analysis and/or reporting.
• One (1) year of experience using Geographic Information System mapping software or working with automated vehicle locating systems.
• Requires a working knowledge of solid waste vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Use route and fleet management tools to optimize collection routes.
• Train operators to use in-truck technology and monitor effectiveness.
• Analyze productivity measurements and suggest data-backed process improvements.
• Collaborate with City staff across departments and with residents and partners.
